Time: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Location(s):

Join Crafters at the Olympia Farmers Market for a live showcase of their craft process. Artist demonstrations are scheduled for select Thursdays and Fridays in October. View the full schedule of demonstrations below:

Friday October 1

Trnka Wear

“Stitch it, don’t ditch it!” Do you have clothing that is worn or damaged? Artist Shari Trnka invites you to bring your garments to the Olympia Farmers Market for a “mending lab.” The purpose of the mending lab is to encourage the repair of clothing and to lessen textile waste, which has become a global problem. Supplies will be available for you to patch your own garments and Trnka will be available to offer advice to beginners. There will be two opportunities in October to visit the Mending Lab (October 1st and 8th). Trnka Wear website: Home | Trnka (sharitrnka.com)

Thursday October 7

Baird Boxes hand-crafts boxes with northwest woods, incorporating natural edges and finishes. Maker Dale Baird will be at the Market on Thursday October 7 with saw-in-hand demonstrating some of the techniques he uses to create his signature boxes.
