The Oluympia Historical Society: Sylvester's Window painting series, + art education kits
Olympia Timberland Library art scavenger hunt

Featuring “Sylvester’s Window” a nonprofit, educational project that teaches local history through a series of eight cityscapes created by artist Robert Chamberlain, all drawn from the same perspective: the tower window of Edmund Sylvester’s home in Downtown Olympia, Washington. The first painting is 1841 and the last is 2001.
For ArtsWalk this year we are inviting the community to come through, view the paintings and have the opportunity to learn about the history in the paintings and the project of making them from members of the Olympia Historical Society. In addition we will be relaunching our Sylvester's Window kits. They include laminated prints of all the paintings and detailed curriculum/ history for each painting meticulously written by project creator Lynn Erickson. Attendees can use them while in the building or check them out to take home.
