Whispering Wood Designs
Our exhibit will feature home and office decor that is practical and one of a kind. Many items are made from local scrap woods. The pictures I’m attaching are a clock embedded in the bark of a 200 year old Douglas fir. The cribbage board is an example of our use of a milled wood called Purple Heart. Most of our items are multidimensional. For example, by turning the clock face the wood can stand on various edges changing the perspective of the piece. The back side of the cribbage board serves as a serving tray as the piece has a food safe finish on it, as do most of our pieces. We also do epoxy fills into ship worm wood to create unique card holders or smaller cheese boards.
