salt & pinedDesign is the creative home of accidental, self-taught artist, lisa ryan. pacific northwest born and deeply rooted, lisa has always found peace and awe in the moss-covered pines, shaped by the wind and bending toward the salty fingers of the south puget sound. Having adventured on travels far from here, the PNW has always clung tightly to her as her true home. yet find beauty that rivals this place - where towering mountain ranges meet the mighty sea - lisa’s work captures not accurate details but the experience and feeling of a place.

lisa resides in olympia, wa, with her husband, 2 children and dodhi, their big, sea-loving polar bear of a dog. when she is not working as a trauma therapist, she can most often be found paddling the sound, treking the woods, collecting more driftwood than her yard can house, begging her family to pull over for just one more painting inspiring photo.
