"RETROSPECTIVE": Debra Van Tuinen
Six decades of artwork, from 1969 to the present, by one of the original artists who inspired the creation of the Washington Center Gallery.
Etchings, drawings, encaustic, and paintings consistently express the influence of a play of light on the land and seascapes. Ledges appear stacked among images of water and clouds, with sumi-style strokes creating stability in a moving palette of luminous colors.
